Mo(o)re about Father

Thanks to my brother I have been listening to the audio rendering by Roger Moore of his autobiography. As I listened to him describe his parents, I noted many similarities between his memories of his father and my memories of mine. My father was also an "amateur magician" and would do many tricks to amuse us. He would take a loop of thread and make a net sing his fingers, he would do puppet shows with his hands, and he would show us a number of card tricks. Further he was a good musician himself and I enjoyed listening to him when he played the harmonica or the mouth organ. We had a small and a large one in the house- the big one was father's and we used the small one.

The wonderfully debonair and talented Roger Moore wrote this book when he turned 8o years old. He then read a very abridged version of the book - in his very excellent reading voice.
